The campus community mourns the passing of Elisabeth Wulczyn ’81, who died on Sunday, July 16 at age 87.  Elisabeth was employed in the Registrar’s office at Bucknell, retiring in 2000 after 26 years of service. The campus community mourns the passing of Ronald Batman, 70, who died on Monday, July 17. Ronald was a supervisor in the cogeneration plant, retiring in 2010 after 38 years of service. Born in Milton on December 17, 1946, he was the son of the late Palmer A. and Helen M. (Sieklicki) Batman. Ronald was a graduate of Milton High School and served in the US Navy. The campus community mourns the passing of Venetta G. Bilger, 94, who died on Saturday, July 15. Venetta worked in Facilities, retiring in 1985 after nearly 22 years of service. She was born on November 24, 1922 in Union County, a daughter of the late Elmer E. and Pearl M. (Wirth) Gotshall. On April 26, 1941, she married Kenneth Beaver Bilger, at Christ’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisburg. Mr. Bilger passed away on February 24, 2001. The campus community mourns the passing of Thomas A. “Tommy” Thompson ‘60, 78, who died on Sunday, June 25. Tommy spent 37 years at Bucknell University as an assistant coach or head coach for Men’s Basketball, Baseball and Golf until his retirement in 2001. Tommy was a son of the late Lloyd and Edith (Johnson) Thompson. On August 3, 1979, he married the former Robynn Jackson, the love of his life, who survives. The campus community mourns the passing of Edward “Ed” Mastascusa, who died on Sunday, February 5, 2017.  Edward joined the Bucknell faculty in 1968, and, after teaching for 41 years, retired as Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering in 2009. Ed received the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching in the 1980-81 academic year, and he served as department chair for many years during his tenure at Bucknell.
