Ronald Batman

The campus community mourns the passing of Ronald Batman, 70, who died on Monday, July 17. Ronald was a supervisor in the cogeneration plant, retiring in 2010 after 38 years of service.

Born in Milton on December 17, 1946, he was the son of the late Palmer A. and Helen M. (Sieklicki) Batman.

Ronald was a graduate of Milton High School and served in the US Navy.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 323 in Watsontown, and the VFW Post 1665 in Milton. He was also a DCNR Certified ATV Instructor and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His family called him the King of Infomercials. He loved all the new gadgets that were available.

Ronald is survived by two daughters, Randi Ann and Roni Marie Batman, both of Milton; five grandchildren, Jade, Brea, Tesia (Batman-Nielson), Tessa and Trent Batman; two great-grandchildren Daivon and Piper Batman; four brothers, Jan Batman of Milton, Barry Batman of Cortland, OH, Rick Batman of Milton and Randy Batman of Milton; and four sisters Joan Rudloff of Milton, Joyce Patretti of Parker, AZ, Barbara Stutz of Wheat Ridge, CO and Robin Leech of Watsontown. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Daivon Batman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Broadway, Milton, with Rev. John D. Hoke officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to a reception following the burial at the St. Joseph Parish Center.

Arrangements are under the care of the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton.
