Gerald Wang Cook

The campus community mourns the passing of Gerald Wang Cooke, 89, who died on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Gerald joined the Bucknell faculty in 1962 and, after teaching for 26 years, retired as Professor Emeritus of Religion in 1988. ​He graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School, continued his education at Colorado College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, and then at Yale Divinity School, where he graduated with a degree of Doctor of Divinity. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the national academic honor society. Moises Veloz

The campus community mourns the passing of Moises G. Veloz, who worked as a shop technician in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. He passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Lewisburg. Moises was a loving and dedicated husband and father as well as an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs. Richard P. Nickelsen

The campus community mourns the passing of Professor Richard Nickelsen, 89, who died on Sunday, November 23. Richard joined the Bucknell Faculty in 1959 and after teaching for 33 years, retired as Professor Emeritus of Geology in 1992. He was born October 1, 1925, in Lynbrook, NY, son of the late Karl and Olga (Holm) Nickelsen. On November 18, 1950, he married the former Helen “Cindy” Beardsley. Together they celebrated 64 years of marriage. Connie Boyer

The campus community mourns the passing of Connie Boyer, 69, who died on Saturday, October 18th. Connie worked as a custodian, retiring in 2007 after 24 years at Bucknell. Born on June 25, 1945, in West Milton, she was a daughter of the late Mary (Stump) Boone and a 1963 graduate of Danville High School. She was a member of Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton, a former member and past president of the Millmont West Union Area Lions Club, and a volunteer for Evangelical Hospice.
