Robert (Bob) Malesardi, ’45, P’75 ’79 ’87, GP’08

The Bucknell University community mourns the passing of emeritus trustee and loyal Bucknellian Robert (Bob) Malesardi, ’45, P’75 ’79 ’87, GP’08, on Jan. 16, 2021. Bob Malesardi majored in accounting at Bucknell and was a member of the wrestling team, the Navy V-12 program and Sigma Chi. Prior to his retirement, the World War II veteran spent many years operating an accounting firm and developing real estate. He co-owned the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach, Fla. Dennis Baumwoll

The campus community mourns the passing of Dennis Baumwoll, who died on Thursday, January 14. Dennis retired in 1998 as Professor Emeritus of English after 32 years of service to Bucknell. Dennis is remembered by his colleagues as a great talker—and a very good listener. Bruce Kline

The campus community mourns the passing of Bruce Kline, who died on Wednesday, December 2, 2020.  Bruce has worked in our Facilities Department for 41 years, having served as equipment operator on the grounds/labor crew, as trades apprentice for carpentry, electrical, welding and plumbing, and then promoted to carpenter in 2007. Bruce has worked on many campus projects, most notably Freas Hall, Bostwick, President’s Dining Room and O’Leary office renovations. Pauline Fletcher

The campus community mourns the passing of Pauline Fletcher, who died on Monday, November 30. Pauline retired in 2002 as Professor Emerita of English after 20 years of service to Bucknell. Pauline was an inspirational teacher, an accomplished and productive scholar, and an influential colleague who served the University in a number of capacities over her two decades on the Bucknell faculty. Her scholarship and teaching focused primarily on Victorian British literature, but she was a versatile thinker who also offered interesting interdisciplinary courses.
