Diane Mitch

The campus community mourns the passing of Diane Mitch, 70, who died Monday, April 6. Diane retired in 2017 after more than 42 years of service to Bucknell Dining.

Diane M. Mitch, 70, of Wall St. Milton passed away on April 6, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Lewisburg on October 9, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Nancy Riley and the late Ralph “Zeke” Heddings.

Diane attended Potts Grove Elementary School, and she was a 1973 graduate of Milton High School. She worked at the Milton Shoe Factory until 1976 and then worked in Dining Services at Bucknell University. She was a social member of the VFW in Milton, the American Legion in Lewisburg and the Milton Eagles. Diane enjoyed drawing and doing crafts. She liked to watch the animals in her yard. Most importantly she loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Angela (Gary) Brintzenhofe of Milton, and Nicole (David Walter) Mitch of Milton; grandchildren Jonathan (Amanda) Hepler, Brayden (Gabryela Flooke) Snyder, Koltyn Brintzenhofe, Alivia (Mekhi Nolder) Snyder, Gavin (Lindsay Miller) Brintzenhofe, Quentin Snyder, and Adalyn Brintzenhofe; great grandchildren, Mateo Nolder, Leilani Snyder, and Violet Wiley and a stepson, Nicholas Earnest.

Diane was preceded in death by her fiancé, William Earnest and a sister, Mary Frank.
