The campus community mourns the passing of Mildred Dreese, who died on December 5, 2019. At the time of her retirement in 2002 she was a Custodial Section Supervisor in Facilities and had served Bucknell for 30 years.

Mildred Amelia Dreese, 79, of 2832 Supplee Mill Road, Winfield, passed away Thursday evening, Dec. 5, 2019, at Evangelical Community Hospital.
A native of Northumberland County, she was born in Milton on March 7,1940, a daughter of the late Joseph John and Estella S. (Orr) McWilliams. On Nov. 23, 1963, she married James M. Dreese. Her death breaks a marital union of 56 years.
Mildred was a graduate of Milton High School. She retired as a custodial supervisor at Bucknell University.
Mildred was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Reformed Church, Dry Valley, where she served as secretary. She was an excellent jelly maker, providing for Manna in Mazeppa. She was a member of Northumberland Hook and Ladder Company, the Sunbury Social Club and loved to take photos and make cards on her computer for family and friends.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Curtis Young of Lewisburg; a stepson, James (Cindy) Dreese of Northumberland; and a daughter, Kim (Lou) Bitner of Pottsgrove; three grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, a brother, and a sister.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at St. Johns Lutheran Reformed Church, Dry Valley, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. with her pastor the Rev. Rickey Phillips officiating.
Burial will follow in the Winfield Cemetery.
The family asks that donations in Mildred’s memory be made to St. Johns Lutheran Reformed Church, 3367 State Route 304, Winfield, PA 17889.
