Caroline Hartman

The campus community mourns the passing of Caroline Hartman, who died on December 3, 2019.  Caroline was a Post Office Assistant and had served Bucknell for 44 years at the time of her retirement in 2013.

Caroline E. Hartman, 68, of 6611 Buffalo Road, Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport. She was born Nov. 17, 1951, in Cowan, a daughter of the late Marlin E. and Rosella C. (Yost) Hartman.

Caroline was a 1969 graduate of Mifflinburg High School. She was employed in the mailroom at Bucknell University for more than 40 years. She worked with the 4-H Club of Cowan and was a member of the Mifflinburg Bowling League. Caroline loved to make handmade crafts and sell them at shows.

She is survived by one sister, Ida Mae Hartman of Mifflinburg; and her aunt and uncle, Nelson and Toletha Yost of Lewisburg.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilson E. “Coon” Hartman, Kenneth C. “Skip” Hartman, and Lee L. “Pete” Hartman; and one sister, Barbara Ann Hartman who died in infancy.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Roupp Funeral Home Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, followed by the funeral at 11, with Pastor Ron Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
