The campus community mourns the passing of Yvonne O’Neill, who died on Tuesday, April 10.  Yvonne was a custodian at Bucknell for 20 years, retiring in 2001.

Yvonne Marie O’Neill, 78, of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born July 21, 1939, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Millard and Evelyn (Hummel) Fetzer. On July 7, 1996, she married Kenneth O’Neill who survives. Together they celebrated 21 years of marriage.

Yvonne was a 1957 graduate of Lewisburg High School.

She worked as a custodian at Bucknell University for 20 years.

She was a member of Community Christian Church, Vicksburg.

Yvonne enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Wayne Slear and friend, Danny Valencia of Duluth, Ga.; one daughter, Robin Hoffman of Lewisburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Galen and Nancy Fetzer and Keith and Melissa Fetzer, all of Lewisburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Rex Frey of Shippensburg; and four grandchildren, Madison, Matthew, Trent and Alexandra.

Family and Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at Community Christian Church, 6460 Old Turnpike Road, Vicksburg where a time of remembrance and fellowship meal will be held.

A private graveside service will be held in Lewisburg Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Yvonne’s name be made to the Community Christian Church, 6460 Old Turnpike Road, Vicksburg, PA 17844.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
