Jackie retired in 2018 from her Student Health position after 21 years of service to the University. Dan Hoffman

The campus community mourns the passing of Dan Hoffman who died on Monday, July 26. After 33 years of service to Bucknell, Dan retired from the University in 2003 as Professor Emeritus of Biology. During Dan’s tenure at Bucknell, he received a number of National Science Foundation (NSF) grants. His colleagues in the Biology department shared that Dan was a loyal Bucknellian, having taught in the Biology department for more than 30 years. Jerud “Jerry” Mead

The campus community mourns the passing of Jerud “Jerry” Mead, who died on Monday, March 1. Jerry retired in 2009 as professor emeritus of computer science after 26 years of service to Bucknell. His colleagues in the Department of Computer Science shared the following about him: Professor Mead taught a broad array of courses. His engagement with introductory and advanced programming courses informed the development of perspectives on how one might more systematically create programs that meet specifications. Robert (Bob) Malesardi, ’45, P’75 ’79 ’87, GP’08

The Bucknell University community mourns the passing of emeritus trustee and loyal Bucknellian Robert (Bob) Malesardi, ’45, P’75 ’79 ’87, GP’08, on Jan. 16, 2021. Bob Malesardi majored in accounting at Bucknell and was a member of the wrestling team, the Navy V-12 program and Sigma Chi. Prior to his retirement, the World War II veteran spent many years operating an accounting firm and developing real estate. He co-owned the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach, Fla.
