Edward Mastascusa

The campus community mourns the passing of Edward “Ed” Mastascusa, who died on Sunday, February 5, 2017.  Edward joined the Bucknell faculty in 1968, and, after teaching for 41 years, retired as Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering in 2009. Ed received the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching in the 1980-81 academic year, and he served as department chair for many years during his tenure at Bucknell. Ed was a 1956 graduate of St. Basil High School. He continued his education at Carnegie Mellon University, where he received bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees by 1964. Michael Payne

The campus community mourns the passing of Dr. Michael David Payne, 75, of Lewisburg, on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Riverwoods, Lewisburg. Born January 17, 1941 in Dallas, TX, he was a son of the late Fred G. Payne and Jocie (Kirkham) and Lester Lundberg. He was a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and Southern Oregon College. Michael then earned his doctorate in English from the University of Oregon.
