Geraldine “Gerry” Johnson

The campus community mourns the passing of Geraldine “Gerry” Johnson, who died on Sunday, May 24. Geraldine worked for dining services for 11 years, retiring in 1991.
She was born Aug. 30, 1926 in Monroe Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Heiser) Baum.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Alexander Legros, of Winfield and Ellen and James Hackenberg, of Selinsgrove; six grandchildren, Christian and Ian Legros, Jenifer Voneida, Eric Hackenberg, Neal Johnson, and Melissa Demuth; six great-grandchildren, Thomas, Lucas, Jaren, Aubree, Jeep, and Imogene; and one sister, Patricia Gordon, of Mifflinburg.

She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Johnson; one brother, Fred Baum; one sister, Faylene Corbin; and her companion of more than 20 years, Nelson James.

Funeral services will be private with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Kratzerville. Funeral arrangements are by the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove.
