Joyce retired after more than 17 years of service to Bucknell as a custodial section supervisor. Her colleagues remember her as a dedicated employee whose consistent excellence was recognized in 2006 with the John F. Bravman<br>President<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>______________________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joyce Elizabeth Wagner, 82, of 2850 Pleasant Grove Rd., Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 1:08 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2025, at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was born February 9, 1942, in York, a daughter of the late Joseph Hunt and Pearl (Sacks) Hummel. On August 6, 1958, in Bennetsville, South Carolina, she married Kermit Wagner, who survives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joyce attended Lewisburg High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was employed as a custodian supervisor at Bucknell University for 17 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joyce attended the Buffalo Crossroads Community Church, Lewisburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surviving in addition to her husband of 66 years, are one son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Judith Wagner of Scranton; three brothers, Martin Hummel, Jim Hummel, and George Hunt; two sisters, Rose Gutelius, and Kathy Kreps; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Hunt, William Banier, and John Banier; two sisters, Leah Sutherland and Waynette Strouse; two grandchildren, John Book and Charity Wagner; and one great-grandson, Andrew Ayala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A memorial service was conducted on Feb. 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arrangements by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
