{"id":545,"date":"2020-12-07T11:25:27","date_gmt":"2020-12-07T16:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/inmemoriam.bucknell.edu\/?p=545"},"modified":"2020-12-07T11:25:27","modified_gmt":"2020-12-07T16:25:27","slug":"bruce-kline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inmemoriam.bucknell.edu\/?p=545","title":{"rendered":"Bruce Kline"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The campus community\nmourns the passing of Bruce Kline, who died on Wednesday, December 2, 2020.&nbsp; Bruce has worked in our Facilities Department\nfor 41 years, having served as equipment operator on the grounds\/labor crew, as\ntrades apprentice for carpentry, electrical, welding and plumbing, and then\npromoted to carpenter in 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bruce has worked on\nmany campus projects, most notably Freas Hall, Bostwick, President\u2019s Dining\nRoom and O\u2019Leary office renovations. Bravman<br>President<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>_____________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bruce Kline, age 63,\nof Lewisburg, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 2. He was born in Lewisburg, Pa.,\non April 19, 1957, to Russell and Irene (Lucas) Kline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He worked at Bucknell\nUniversity for 41 years, starting first on the grounds crew, then working as a\ncarpenter until his passing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Oct. 10,1981, he\nmarried the former Karen George. He was a very loving husband. The two of them\nenjoyed traveling to different places and exploring new things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bruce was a member of\nthe Milton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah\u2019s Witnesses. He was also a volunteer at the\nLewisburg Penitentiary since 1988, where he loved teaching the Bible to the\ninmates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bruce was preceded in\ndeath by his parents and a brother Alan. He is survived by his wife Karen; two\nsisters, Linda and Larry Kirkner, and Sylvia Kline; three nephews, Brent and\nAmanda Kline, Bradley and Aimee Kline and Travis Kline; two nieces, Josie and\nMatthew Thompson and JoAnn and Aggidio Lauria; two grand-nephews and one\ngrand-niece Cameron, Cora and Archer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be a zoom\nmemorial service for Bruce given by elder Larry Kirkner on Saturday.
