Jim retired in 2015 as Director of Construction and Design in Facilities, after 30 years of service at Bucknell. Bravman<br \/>\nPresident<\/p>\n<p>_________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>It is with great sadness the family of James D. Hostetler announces his untimely passing on March 20, 2018, at the age of 65 years.<\/p>\n<p>Jim retired from Bucknell University in 2015 as the Director of Construction and Design after 30 years of service. During his 30 years, he oversaw the completion of numerous capital projects; supporting the University\u2019s growth and development. Jim also volunteered countless hours to help develop the Outdoor Education and Leadership program for the University.<\/p>\n<p>Jim was an outdoors enthusiast and enjoyed hiking, climbing, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, caving, camping, and biking. Jim was also dedicated to our community and served on multiple boards, committees and construction projects.<\/p>\n<p>Jim will be forever remembered by his wife Darcie, and their children, Lauren (Craig), Erin (Chris), Joshua (Allison) and Roslynn (Julie). He will be remembered by his four grandchildren, Oscar, Savannah, Eddie James, and Sydney; by his\u00a0brothers, Rick (Reni), Gary (Lorie) and Gregg (Linda); by his father (Jim); and in-laws, (Dave and Shirley). Jim will also be remembered by his extended family, nieces, nephews and numerous dear friends.<\/p>\n<p>Jim was predeceased by his mother, Mary, and daughter, Evan.<\/p>\n<p>A celebration of Jim\u2019s life will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Fero Vineyards &amp; Winery, 965 JPM Road, Lewisburg.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the James D. Hostetler Outdoor Education &amp; Leadership Fund.
