{"id":137,"date":"2016-03-07T12:50:18","date_gmt":"2016-03-07T17:50:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/inmemoriam.bucknell.edu\/?p=137"},"modified":"2016-03-30T12:52:05","modified_gmt":"2016-03-30T17:52:05","slug":"lucille-kline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inmemoriam.bucknell.edu\/?p=137","title":{"rendered":"Lucille Kline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The campus community mourns the passing of Lucille Kline, 101, who died on Monday, March 7.\u00a0 Lucille worked as a secretary in the Department of Athletics, retiring in 1972 after 21 years of service.<\/p>\n<p>She was born June 25, 1914 in Parrott, VA, a daughter of the late Walter and Oma (Warfe) Sutherland. Lucille and her husband, Floyd E. Kline, celebrated 51 years of marriage before his death on November 11, 1987.<\/p>\n<p>Lucille was a graduate of Bell Springs High School, VA.\u00a0 She was a member of the Christ\u2019s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisburg. Lucille enjoyed reading and playing cards, especially bridge. She loved spending winters in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Carol Kline of Newport, and Edward and Marilyn Kline of New Columbia; five grandchildren and their spouses, Alan Jr. and Jackie Kline, Deb and Greg Miller, Ed II and Gale Kline, Lisa and Daryn James and Mike and Barb Kline; nine great-grandchildren, Jeremy Hendricks, Justin Kline, Zack Miller, Jessica Gemberling, Brittany Miller, Riley James, Josh, Brooke, and Emily Kline; 4 step great-grandchildren, Jordan, Alexa, Caitlin, and Colton Stine; one great-great-grandson, Braxton Miller; one great-great-grandchild on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters.<\/p>\n<p>Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.<\/p>\n<p>The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Christ\u2019s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 S. Third St., Lewisburg, PA 17837. The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S.
