The campus community mourns the passing of Moises G. Veloz, who worked as a shop technician in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. He passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Lewisburg. Moises was a loving and dedicated husband and father as well as an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs. Moises was born in Dallas, Texas in 1971 to Ignacio Veloz and the late Eudelia Austin and was raised in Victoria, Texas. Moises is survived by his wife Lisa Veloz and three children, Aaron, Ryan and Isabel Veloz, of Lewisburg. He is also survived by his father, two brothers and two sisters of Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26 at Christ Lutheran Church, 100 S. Third St., Lewisburg, with the Rev. William S. Henderson officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
