Connie Boyer

The campus community mourns the passing of Connie Boyer, 69, who died on Saturday, October 18th. Connie worked as a custodian, retiring in 2007 after 24 years at Bucknell.

Born on June 25, 1945, in West Milton, she was a daughter of the late Mary (Stump) Boone and a 1963 graduate of Danville High School. She was a member of Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton, a former member and past president of the Millmont West Union Area Lions Club, and a volunteer for Evangelical Hospice. Connie enjoyed bowling, sewing, reading, and working in concessions at Penns Creek Park Raceway.

She is survived by her companion of 30 years, Edward Zimmerman; four children, Dwayne and Lori Zimmerman, of Northumberland, Anthony Campbell, of State College, Shelley and Ron Snyder, of Riverside, and Shonna Geyer and her companion, Julie Baehre, of Syracuse, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Tara and Jesse Vanderpool, Machenzie Snyder, Nicholas Snyder, Cody Zimmerman and Dawson Zimmerman; and some special little people in her life, Myeesha, Samuel, Anthony, Mason and Marlee.

There will be no viewing or service. Contributions in Connie’s memory may be made to Evangelical Hospice, 1 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837. Arrangements are by the Olley-Gotlob Funeral Home, 539 Race Street, Sunbury.

On behalf of the entire Bucknell community, I extend our deepest sympathies to Connie’s family, as well as to all who knew her at Bucknell.
