Edward “Ed” Cotter
Dear Colleagues, The campus community mourns the passing of Edward “Ed” Cotter, who died on Friday, May 13. Ed retired as professor emeritus of geology in 2000 after 34 years of service to Bucknell. Ed was a devoted teacher, a productive scholar and a passionate colleague at the University. His scholarship and teaching focused primarily on sedimentology, paleontology and the geologic evolution of Earth. Colleagues remember Ed for his passion towards the liberal arts, dedication to field-based instruction and commitment to lifelong learning.
